Intro

For the first time ISM classes from the 80s united to hold an EIGHTIES ERUPTION reunion!

This was a hang-loose, laid-back affair. Our motto is "Less Bucks, No Tux" An intimate reunion amongst old friends.

Feedback

Minda Santiago '87 writes "I just wanted to thank you so much for hosting such a great reunion! It was so great catching up with everyone. Thank you too for playing the tunes that got us out into the dance floor."

Mr. Mac (Arnold Mckenzie) writes from Manila "I hope and pray your Eighties Eruption Reunion brings all of you closer to one another, making your IS acquaintances, lasting friendships, now."

Salim Assad '82 swears "
I have not laughed that hard in a long time. I was crying and my stomach hurt. I have lost my voice and my tail bone hurts due to all the driving. I would not change that for the anything. I wanted to say thank you for putting this together and giving us time to rekindle our friendship with old classmates, bring us back to memory row and getting us reconnected with old friends. Thanks again.

Rafaelito V. Sy '85 sent in his Reflections on Eighties Eruption in which he writes that "the '80s will always be the most vibrant of decades. Red flags flew over Tiananmen Square. Edsa Avenue radiated the yellow of the sun. Benetton celebrated the racial eclecticism of humankind. Spandau Ballet declared that we were gold and indestructible. Every dawning day, the world erupted with the dazzling colors of a Rubic's Cube." Read his whole essay in the Chismis Corner!
