WHO ARE YOU?
The Jeepney Gang is an American School / International School Manila alumni organization run entirely by alumni. Our volunteers are located around the world with a large base in Manila and in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The International School Manila (ISM) was founded in 1920 by a group of American expatriates in Manila as the American School. This name was changed to the International School in 1971/72 to reflect the increased diversity of the student body.
The school was located on Donada Street in Pasay City and then on Kalayaan St. in Bel-Air Village, Makati City from 1960 to 2002. In 2002, it relocated to its current site in Fort Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

We organize and promote MANY alumni activities.
These include:
all types of reunions,
> major reunions (like the ISM 85th Anniversary, the Sixties Celebration, the Eighties Eruption and the Euro Reunions)
> class reunions
> anniversary reunions,
> social gatherings (like the Chowdowns)
> reunion vacations, cruises, camping trips on-line chats,
parties,
help alumni find old friends,
help alumni find information,
support ISM alumni office activities
many other alumni activities If you have any suggestions for other activities we’d love to hear from you!
HOW DID YOU START?
The Jeepney Gang started back in 1981. Alumni that had recently graduated got together on occasion to reunite and have fun. Although our group was always open to any alumni, for many years it resembled a small private club. Our members came and went as they pleased.
We attended reunions and held our own mini-reunions. We wrote some very funny articles for alumni publications. We kept in touch. We perfected the art of chismis. And we proudly used the name Jeepney Gang whenever we got together.
Things became more formal when our website was established back in 1996.
In 1999 we began hosting general alumni information and forums. We promote any alumni activities we hear about so let us know if you’re planning an event!
HOW OFTEN ARE REUNIONS?
Many alums think that reunions are held according to some fixed schedule. They are not!
There are mini reunions every year, and larger reunions every few years. The JeepneyGang even organizes monthly Chowdowns which started out in San Francisco and are spreading to other cities.
Reunions range in size from a couple of people getting together for a drink to a group going on vacation together to class reunions to major reunions that are open to all AS and ISM alumni.
The Jeepney Gang promotes ALL REUNIONS!
ARE YOU THE ONLY AS/ISM ALUMNI GROUP?
No, there are quite a few. Links to other alumni groups are here.
If you are starting one, we’ll help get the word out! Or join us as a volunteer!
WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO?
Class by class, A.S. or ISM, Indian or Bearcat, we strive to support one another, our causes and our school. The spirit may live within but our goal is to get it out.
The Jeepney Gang. Seriously or socially, the “Voice of the Alumni.”
