5 Flashback videos from the 2008 Homecoming Reunion:
The JeepneyGang AS/IS Manila alumni association invited alums to attend Nancy Keeney Forster’s March 16, 2010 lecture in Tiburon, CA about her book “Encounters: A Lifetime Spent Crossing Cultural Frontiers” .
Nancy read from the book which describes the adventures of her late husband, AS ’43 alum Cliff Forster.
Order your copy of ENCOUNTERS online via the JeepneyShop
There were at least 5 AS/ISM alums attending:
Hank Miller ’59
Mary (Brings) Farquhar ’61
Michelle Palmer Alvino ’79 (and her mom)
Alex Kahl ’81
Tisha del Rosario – Kahl ’84
Vicky Sycip Herrera ’68 and Susie McElhaney ’82 collected books for public elementary schools in Tagaytay.
The schools needed books written in English! Schools all over the Philippines are embarking on a program to teach English.
The schools have set aside time in the day for students to read books in English. However, there are few English language books available.
The goal was to build a collection of books for each school. Due to alumni generosity, the book drive collected 4,000 books!
